Those who reject (Truth),\n Among the People of the Book\n And among the Polytheists,\n Were not going to depart\n (From their ways) until\n There should come to them\n Clear Evidence,\u2014\n2. An apostle from God,\n Rehearsing scriptures\n Kept pure and holy:\n3. Wherein are laws (or decrees)\n Right and straight.\n4. Nor did the People\n Of the Book\nMake schisms,\n Until after there came\n To them Clear Evidence.\n5. And they have been commanded\n No more than this:\n To worship God,\n Offering Him sincere devotion,\n Being True (in faith);\n To establish regular Prayer;\n And to practise regular Charity;\n And that is the Religion\n Right and Straight.\n6. Those who reject (Truth),\n Among the People of the Book\n And among the Polytheists,\n Will be in hell-fire,\n To dwell therein (for aye).\n They are the worst\n Of creatures.\n7. Those who have faith\n And do righteous deeds,\u2014\n They are the best\n Of creatures.\n8.
