O. 77\u2014.\n\u2014 Commandery, No\u2014, met in Stated (or * Called) Conclave, in its Asylum, the \u2014 day of\u2014, 189\u2014, and a Commandery of Knights Templar was opened in due form, with\nOFFICERS:\n| Eminent | Sir \u2014, Commander. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Generalissimo. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Captain General. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Prelate. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Senior Warden. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Junior Warden. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Treasurer. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Recorder. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Standard Bearer. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Sword Bearer. | \n| | Sir \u2014, Sentinel. | \nMembers\u2014Sirs A. B., D. E., etc.\nVisitors\u2014Sir X. Y., Mary Commandery, No. 4, Philadelphia, etc.\nIt was announced that the Right Eminent Grand Commander had arrived, and desired to visit the Commandery officially. Whereupon, the Arch of Steel was formed, and the distinguished visitor was received with the honors befitting his rank.\nAfter a few pleasant remarks by the Right Eminent Grand Commander, the Lines were dismissed, and the business of the Commandery continued.\nMinutes of the preceding Conclave were read, and approved as correct.\nPetition from Companion \u2014, member of \u2014 Lodge, No. \u2014, and of, Hamilton Chapter, No. \u2014, for the Orders of Knighthood, was read, and referred to the following\nCommittee\u2014Sirs A. B. C., X. Y. Z., and G. W. P.\nThe following bills, approved by the Finance Committee, were read and ordered paid, viz.: [insert bills.]\nThe committee on the petition of Companion \u2014 reported, whereupon the ballot was spread, and he was declared duly elected to receive the Orders of Knighthood.\nThe committee on the petition of Sir \u2014, for affiliation, reported, whereupon the ballot was spread, and he was declared rejected.\nSir Knight \u2014 offered the following, which was adopted:\nResolved, That, etc. [insert resolution.]\nThe business of the Commandery was then suspended, and a\nCOUNCIL OF THE RED CROSS\nwas opened, the officers assuming the titles thereof.\nCompanions A. B. C., G. F. S. and H. Y. T., who had been duly elected, were in waiting, and, there being no objection, were introduced and created and constituted Companions of the Illustrious Order of the Red Cross.\nThe Council was then closed, and the business of the Commandery was resumed.\nSir Knight \u2014 petitioned for a demit, and he being clear of the books, the same was granted.\nThe Commandery was then closed in due form.\nAfter closing the Commandery, the Right Eminent Grand Commander was escorted by the Fratres, without uniform, to the banquet hall.\n[Make the record of this as full as may be desired.]\n \u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\n Commander.\n\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Recorder.\n__________\nWhen the Minutes are approved they should be signed at once by the Commander and Recorder.\nThe Minutes should not record the nature of the report of a Committee on Petitions. The above form is the correct one.\nThe Records should he carefully paragraphed, written in a clear style of writing, as well as composition. Many Recorders crowd the records, thus making them indistinct.\nUse a Record Book that has a ruled margin, and give marginal notes.\nPrompt Recorders always have the \"Rough Minutes\" ready at the close of each Conclave. They can then be corrected by those who participated.
